We are proud to announce the birth of a Sumatran orangutan, Raya (Rah-yah). Tara, a 30-year-old orangutan, welcomed the healthy baby girl on January 11, and both are doing well while spending lots of time bonding.

Females only give birth every 8-9 years, making each new baby like Raya incredibly precious.
